Antique Sterling Silver Fancy Twisted Trombone/Paperclip/Fetter Link Albert Watch Chain

A great example of a well preserved Albert chain, featuring popular trombone/paperclip links that have been twisted with matching interlinks, hallmarked from as early as 1891 by well known Birmingham silversmiths.

Whilst this chain is slightly shorter at 14.5” which is an average length for a watch chain, as it comes with two, matching dog clips, one can easily style this by adding an extender of choice, or wear it as a choker / shorter necklace alone or with an added pendant/charm or connecting brooch.

Details of note - the chain features the makers mark for B&B, likely representing Booth & Biggs, who were watch chain makers from Birmingham, whilst the swivelling t-bar was made by PP&Co for Payton Pepper & Co. of Birmingham, dated 1891. The bolt ring next to the t-bar is dated for Birmingham, 1903 and the strong, matching dog clips are by Birmingham’s HB&S, Herbert Bushell & Son Ltd. dating potentially to 1928 (not completely identifiable).
